INTRO

Open Hours is Ineffable Films’ online community for emerging and underserved filmmakers. It now has over 400 members, spanning composers, editors, animators, screenwriters, graphic designers, cinematographers, and more. It's free to join and open to anyone.

Members post questions that our professional mentor network answers within a day or two, share scripts and films for peer and mentor feedback, get help finding festivals, and request crew or production help on ongoing shoots.

SUMMARY

No waitlist. Every month we post new challenges, paid gigs, study-abroad opportunities, and internships with Ineffable and our partners. Active members — those who post work, give feedback, ask questions, and show up to Q&As — become top contenders whenever an opportunity opens up.

Our scouts also keep an eye out for festival-ready films to put through Ineffable Film's flagship Festival Run program. We pair you with a working filmmaker who mentors you through tightening your edit, sharpening your story, and getting your project festival-ready. Then we fund your submission fees, travel, lodging, and promotion.

There's also an internship track. Members can submit track-specific demos by the end of each month; we evaluate submissions and bring on selected members as interns to support other filmmakers and work on Ineffable projects like the Global Lens videos.
