Giving Tuesday 2025: $1,275 to Help Young Filmmakers Reach Their First Festivals
Giving Tuesday fell on December 2, 2025, and it was our first time taking part. We launched our campaign, Let New Stories Shine, on November 18 with one clear purpose: help young filmmakers bring culturally rich stories to their first film festivals.
Together, you raised $1,275. On Giving Tuesday itself, 15 of the people who gave had never donated to Ineffable Films before.
Getting a film into a festival is one thing. Getting the filmmaker there, paying submission fees, and giving them the support to make the most of it is another. That’s the gap our Festival Ready program exists to close, and this campaign went straight toward it.
The comments made the day. Marlon Hite wrote that he has always been proud of me. Vasudha and Vlad called it great to support young voices and visions. Angela Chen said she can’t wait to see what our filmmakers create. Auntie Mimi Igyan wished our young people luck and said she’s excited to see their projects. And John Willis wrote something every small nonprofit understands: there are so many causes to support, and he wished he could give us the whole budget. He gave what he could, and that’s exactly how this works.
Thank you to Roy Campanella III, Marlon Hite, Deana Seitz, Vasudha and Vlad, Kourosh, Amy Kaczur, Shawn Thomas, Vladimir Minuty, Pranit, Jerry Gage-Anderson, Angela Chen, Juan Hall, Michele, Zawadi Powell, Auntie Mimi Igyan, Patricia Manns, G. Amani Roberts T., Christina, Liz R, Djelimory Diabate, John Willis, and our anonymous donors.
