On May 4, 2026, 40 people packed into Kvartira Books in Brooklyn to watch Know Your Muse, a 33-minute documentary about what happens when people convinced they can’t create find out they already can.

The film follows artist Andrey Tamarchenko as he works with complete beginners. It was co-directed by Andrey and his daughter, filmmaker Alisha Tamarchenko, who is also part of the Ineffable Films team.

This was part of Mission Ineffable, where college film students take the lead on reimagining the screening experience. The Q&A afterward turned into a lively discussion about the power of creativity and why everyone deserves to engage in it however they like. Several guests told us they left ready to start creative projects of their own.
