Our First Promo Film, Shot at CCTV by a Student Crew
On August 1, 2024, we took over a studio at Cambridge Community Television (CCTV) to make something we’d needed for a while: a short film that explains what Ineffable Films is to people meeting us for the first time.
The idea came from Maiya Zhou, then a high school student, who didn’t just pitch it but led the production. Her crew was 12 interns from college film schools, which says a lot about how we work. Young filmmakers aren’t the audience for our story. They’re the ones telling it.
The result is the video we still send to new volunteers, partners, and donors. You can watch it on our website.
CCTV has been Cambridge’s community media center since 1988, and anyone can learn to use its studios through its media production classes.
