We launched Open Hours on April 23, 2026. We posted internship openings to find our first members and hoped for a steady trickle. Instead, 50 students showed up almost at once.

Open Hours is our free online home for emerging filmmakers: composers, editors, screenwriters, animators, cinematographers, and more. Members ask questions, get feedback from mentors, and find support on their projects.

Today the community is close to 400 people. We run a live stream every Sunday and an internship program across 14 craft tracks, now organized as an intern council where members review each other’s work before it goes to our mentors. It started as an experiment. It’s become the center of what we do.
